6 New Models To Be Launched This Week

1. Maruti Alto 800 set for Tuesday launch, at priced of Rs 2.5-3L :

India's largest car maker Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to regain lost ground in the small car segment with the launch of a completely new version of its erstwhile best-selling model Alto on Tuesday.
                                                                  The new version, called as 'Maruti Alto 800', is likely to be priced at around 2.5-3 lakh, allowing it to compete with Tata Nano and Hyundai EON.
                                                                 The company will launch the all-new Alto 800 on Tuesday (October 16) and is set to replace the existing Alto as the company seeks to overcome tough market conditions, especially high petrol price and interest rates that have hurt small cars sales. 
                                                                 It is also offering CNG option in the new Alto 800.
                                                                The company is banking on Alto 800's improved fuel efficiency of 22.74 kmpl, which is 15 percent higher than the previous model, to be one of the key factors to create customer pull, apart from its new design and other features like improved gear shift and more leg room for rear passengers.

2. Tata Indigo Manza- Club Class and Safari storme:

Tata Motors will be launching their new Manza Club Class on the 16th of October and will be brought in with five variants - LS Aqua, LX Aura, VX Aura ABS, EX Elan and the EXL New Variant. The entry level diesel option will have a 1.3 liter Quadrajet turbo diesel engine offering 75 ps power and 190 Nm torque.
                                                                                                   Tata Manza Club Class will be offered with a host of new features which will include multimedia touchscreen, automatic climate control, etc while interiors are seen with excessive use of stylish Italian leather upholstery. A new set of 8 spoke alloy wheels are added while a contracting roof has also been added. Along with the Tata Manza Club Class, Tata Motors is inching towards launch of their new Tata Storme SUV in India, again in preparation of increasing sales during Dushera and Diwali.                           
                                Tata Indigo Manza Club Class prices are still a close guarded secret with more details coming out closer to launch dates while estimates reveal that prices will be in the rs.6.50 lakh to Rs.8 lakh category for the top of the line Diesel EXL.
Tata Motors, the country’s largest auto company, seems all set to introduce a new model in its flagship Safari series, Tata Safari Storme, in the Indian auto industry.Auto analysts believe that the launch of new model will not replace the current generation Safari and thus, both will be offered together. Speculations have revealed that the upcoming 2012 Safari Storme will be available in two variants, 4X2 and 4X4, which will surely help the auto maker to cope up with the demands of several individuals who are waiting for something other than 4x4 Mahindra XUV500.
Interestingly, the auto company was busy in the development of Safari from past two years and since then, it has introduced two facelift models with four new engines. The new generation model, named as Safari Storme, is expected to fill in the void between current generation Safari SUV and Aria crossover.
It is believed that upcoming SUV will boasts of several futuristic advancements, which will help it to stand apart from its rivals. Features like an upgraded gearbox, new look, improved ergonomics, quality material at interiors and ample space for leg room at all the rows are anticipated to be packed within the model. However, steering and suspensions systems within the new generation Safari Storme are expected to be shared from its older version.

3. Mahindra & Mahindra to launch Rexton:

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd announced here on Thursday the launch of its much-anticipated high-end SUV,SsangYong Rexton, in the country October 17. 
                                                                The launch will take place in Mumbai, followed by New Delhi, Bangalore and other major cities in a phased manner, a company official said.
                                                              According to M&M Ltd., automotive & farm equipment sectors president and chairman SsangYong Motors Pawan Goenka, Rexton is the first product from SsangYong product portfolio to be unveiled in India after M&M Ltd. acquired the Korean company in March last year. 
                                                    "The third-generation, high-end Rexton has carved out its own niche in 66 countries around the world, including Europe, Russia and Korea," Goenka said. 
Goenka expressed confidence that Rexton will create a strong connect with premium SUV buyers in India owing to its sophisticated styling, luxurious interiors, superior handling and on and off-road performance. 
                                              He said the Indian buyers can also look forward to a high-performance diesel engine powering the Rexton with a combination of sophistication and refinement, and luxurious passenger comforts.

4.New Ford Figo :

Ford India has announced that they will be launching the new Figo hatchback on the 15th October 2012. Figo has been going great guns for the company ever since it was launched in March 2010. This current model is now ready to be replaced by a new and refined variant. The launch of new Figo is well timed for the Navratri, Dusshera and Diwali festivities in the country.
                                       The new Figo hatchback is expected to be priced higher than the current model but is also expected to have a slew of enhancements. New Ford Figo will sport a new body design, new headlamps, a well fashioned grille and restyled bumpers and tail lamps. Newly designed turn blinkers, new fog lamps and a push button starter are likely to be seen on the new Figo. Interiors are also to undergo various alterations with new audio controls and a stylish new dashboard while engine will be carried on from the older version Figo with no real modifications. Exteriors are expected to sport new color options. 
                              Back in August this year, Ford India crossed the milestone sales figure of 2 lakhs for the Ford Figo. Ford Figo sales for the month of September 2012 stood at 6,279 units, registering a growth rate of 20.3% YOY. Ford Figo is also a regular to feature in the top 20 cars sold in India. Once successfully launched Ford Figo is slated to offer competition to compete with Maruti Suzuki Swift and Hyundai i20.
5.Chevrolet Spark :
The long wait for the facelift version of Chevrolet Spark hatchback will be over tomorrow.

As per media reports, General Motors will launch the facelifted version of the Spark October 15th featuring a host of changes on the exteriors as well as the interiors. 

The remarkable changes will be noticed in its front and rear bumpers while the fog lamps will also go through changes.

However there will be no change in its 1 Liter- 4 cylinder- petrol engine that produces a peak power of 63 Bhp and a peak torque of 90 Nm.

The launch of the facelifted 2012 Chevrolet Spark amidst a host of other car launches like the Maruti Alto 800, Tata Manza Club Class, Honda Brio Automatic.

6. Honda Cars Brio AT :

The new launched Brio AT hatch is going to be involved in a direct tussle against the rival automatics like Hyundai i10 AT Kappa2 and Maruti Suzuki A-Star AT in the country. The contest is going to be interesting as from the value-for-money point of view, the A-Star AT scores the maximum points, while taking into account the power and performance characteristics, the i10 AT Kappa2 emerges as an absolute winner. The upcoming Honda Brio AT is expected to feature superior transmission characteristics and an overall hassle free driving experience, which could come in handy towards propelling its sales in the country.
Coming to under the hood attributes of the Honda Brio AT, the new model is anticipated to feature the same 1.2 litre i-VTEC motor, which churns out a peak power-torque delivery around 87 bhp and 110 Nm, respectively. The fuel efficiency of the new car is going to be a big concern, considering its automatic gearbox and only time will tell how the car delivers on an actual day-to-day basis. The power-mill is believed to come assimilated with a five-speed automatic transmission system that ensures a convenient routine city driving experience.
The automatic cars are steadily gaining momentum in the Indian passenger car market and their future appears promising. HCIL seems to be making a right decision by launching the Brio AT at the onset of Indian festivities and the car is believed to carry a moderate launch price upon its arrival.
